Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Cut 1 pound of sirloin tips into cubes and set aside.
Drain 1 can (4.5 oz) of mushrooms and place them in a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
Add 1 can (10.75 oz) of condensed cream of mushroom soup, 1 package (1.25 oz) of beef with onion soup mix, and 1 cup of water to the baking dish. Optionally, use 1/2 cup of red wine instead of water for a thicker sauce.
Stir the sauce together well.
Add the sirloin tips to the baking dish and turn them to coat with the sauce.
Bake the sirloin tips in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
About 15 minutes before the sirloin tips are finished baking, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
Add 1 package (16 oz) of wide egg noodles to the boiling water and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente, then drain the noodles.
Serve the egg noodles with the sirloin tips over the top.
