Cut washed apples into quarters.
Fill the crock pot with the chopped apples to the top.
Add 1/2 cup of water to the crock pot.
Add cinnamon to the crock pot (optional).
Cover the crock pot and set it on low to cook overnight.
For the second method, cut apples the same way and place them in a heavy-duty stock pot.
Add around 2 cups of water to the stock pot.
Add cinnamon to the stock pot (optional).
Place the stock pot on the stove to cook the apples.
For the third method, prepare the mehuma by adding water to the bottom and placing the apples in the basket.
Put the mehuma on the stove to cook until the apples are soft and juice fills the tube.
After cooking, use a food mill to grind the cooked apples from the crock pot and stock pot to remove skins and seeds.
Taste the applesauce from each method and compare flavors.
