Today, it remains a beloved traditional dish, often associated with comfort and nostalgia, and is enjoyed in various forms across the United States.

Take 1 cup of wheat flour and 1 cup of refined flour in a mixing bowl.
Add 1 tsp of active dry yeast, 1 tsp of sugar, and 1/2 tsp of salt to the flour.
Mix all the ingredients well.
Gradually add lukewarm water to knead an extremely soft dough.
Knead the dough for 5-6 minutes until smooth, adding 2 tsp of oil to prevent sticking.
Shape the dough into a round ball and place it in a greased container, applying some more oil on top.
Cover the container and let it rise in a warm place for 1.5 hours.
After 1.5 hours, check that the dough has fluffed up and is ready to steam.
Boil 2-2.5 cups of water in a pan and place a steel stand inside to keep the bread container above the water.
Once the water is boiling and steam is coming out, place the container with the dough inside and steam for 40 minutes.
After 40 minutes, turn off the flame and carefully take the container out to let it cool down.
Once cooled, separate the bread from the container and cut it into slices.
