Spread 8 ounces of cream cheese into the bottom of an ovenproof casserole dish using a spatula.

Dice up about 1/3 cup of deli ham into small pieces and spread it over the cream cheese in the dish.

Add more ham if desired to cover better, aiming for around 1/3 to 1/2 cup total.

Shred 3/4 cup of hickory smoked cheddar cheese and layer it on top of the ham in the dish.

Place the casserole dish in the oven and bake for 20 to 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and serve warm with crackers.
