Fall Salad with Pear and Candied Pecans

Heat a pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter to it.
Add the pecans to the pan with a sprinkle of brown sugar for caramelization.
Prepare the greens by using a combination of mixed greens and spinach, or your choice of greens.
Slice half of a red onion into thin slices.
Slice the pears into segments after cutting them in half.
Make the dressing by combining equal parts of red wine vinegar and olive oil, using 1/2 cup of each.
Add 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard to the dressing mixture, which is two half-tablespoons.
Add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to the dressing for sweetness.
Season the dressing with salt and black pepper to taste.
Shake the dressing in a jar to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
Prepare the bacon by sprinkling pre-cooked bacon on top of the salad before serving.
