1 potato
1 carrot
1 wax gourd
1 eggplant
2 blended tomatoes
1 onion chop
2 smashed garlic
1 dry lemon
1 cinnamon stick
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp mixed spice
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp tomato paste
4 pcs margoog bread cut in medium size
1 litter water
3 tbsp oil

In a pot add oil, sauté onion and garlic until the onion is translucent.

Add the chicken and cook until it’s a little brown.

Add the spices: mixed spice, cumin, coriander, turmeric, black pepper, and salt; mix until the chicken is well coated.

Add dry lemon, cinnamon stick, and bay leaf; mix all together.

Add the blended tomatoes and tomato paste; simmer for 3 minutes.

Add 1 liter of water, cover, and let it boil for 30 minutes.

Add the veggies: potato, carrot, and wax gourd; after 10 minutes add the eggplant and let it boil for another 5 minutes.

Add the bread little by little and make sure to dip it well until it absorbs the sauce.
