mopane worms

Dried crickets are a protein-rich alternative and more widely available.
Go to the market to buy ingredients: mopane worms, tomatoes, green pepper, and red oil.
Return home with the ingredients.
Prepare the mopane worms by rinsing them.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until translucent.
Stir in diced tomato and green pepper; cook for another few minutes.
Season with spices, salt, and pepper; mix well.
Add the mopane worms to the skillet; cook until crispy.
In a separate pot, bring water to a boil for fufu preparation.
Gradually add fufu flour to boiling water, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Cook until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly; knead until smooth and elastic.
Serve mopane worms over fufu, garnished with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon juice.
