Chill the sausage balls in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before baking.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking time after about 12 minutes.
Check the internal temperature with an instant-read meat thermometer, ensuring it reaches 160-165°F.
Let the sausage balls cool at room temperature for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
