Shuck corn, pull off husk and silks.
Wash the corn and tap dry with a paper towel.
In a large bowl, cut the corn from the cob with a sharp knife, leaving more of the kernel in the cob to retain the milk.
Scrape up and down the cob with a knife to get the milk.
Add the flour, sugar, salt, and pepper to the scraped corn and mix well.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon and set it aside, leaving the bacon grease in the skillet.
Add the butter to the skillet.
Pour the prepared corn into the hot skillet and cook for about one minute, turning the skillet to cook evenly.
After two minutes, move the corn around in the skillet and adjust the heat to medium low.
Cook for a total of about 16 minutes, checking to ensure it doesn't burn.
