nutritional yeast

🥗Healthier: nooch

💰Cheaper: parmesan

Nutritional yeast adds a cheesy flavor, but can be substituted with parmesan for a similar taste.

1

Fill a large pot halfway with water.

2

Add 2 sliced yellow onions, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of adobo seasoning, 1 tablespoon of black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of garlic powder to the pot.

3

Add 3 cans of salsa and a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the pot.

4

Dice the entire yellow and green bell peppers, and half of the red bell pepper, then add them to the pot.

5

Add 1 teaspoon of liquid smoke to the pot and let it boil on medium heat.

6

Wash 2 large bags of kale greens in a clean kitchen sink, pulling off the large stems and massaging the kale in the water.

7

Transfer the cleaned kale into a bowl, then add one bag of kale to the pot and cover with a lid to let it cook down for a few minutes.

8

Once there's more room in the pot, add the second bag of kale and let the greens cook down for about 1 hour.

9

Taste the kale greens and add sea salt and any additional seasoning, including more adobo seasoning if desired.

10

Before adding salt, incorporate 1 teaspoon of Better Than Bouillon vegetable base.
