Combine warm water and yeast in a bowl; let sit until foamy, about 5-10 minutes.
Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Add the yeast mixture, evaporated milk, and melted butter to the dry ingredients; stir until combined.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl; cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1-2 hours.
Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf.
Place the loaf in a greased bread pan; cover and let rise again until puffy, about 30-45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Remove from the oven and brush with soft butter on top to soften it and give it a nice flavor.
