6 ounces of Medjool dates or date paste
20-22 cornichons
1 1/2 cups of malt vinegar
1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
3/4 of a 1 lb box of dark brown sugar (no packing)
1/4 cup of Worcestershire Sauce
juice of two lemons
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 1/2 teaspoons mustard seed or ground mustard
1 3/4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons allspice
a sprinkle of red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons rice flour
cornstarch to thicken
