Instructions
- 1Wash and peel the russet potatoes.
- 2Cut the potatoes into waffle shapes using a waffle fry cutter.
- 3Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 4Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 5Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F.
- 6Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
- 7Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- 8Season the fries immediately with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to taste.
- 9Serve hot and enjoy!
