Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Shred half a block of mozzarella cheese by hand.

In a medium saucepan on medium-high heat, add half a jar of marinara sauce and 14 frozen Italian style meatballs. Cover and warm them up.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place the dinner rolls on top.

Use a sharp-edged measuring glass or a paring knife to cut out the center of each roll.

Push down the dough in the center of each roll to create depth for the meatball.

Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in the microwave, then mix in 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of dried parsley flakes, salt, and pepper to taste.

Brush the garlic butter mixture inside and outside of the dinner rolls.

Place the rolls in the preheated oven for 5 minutes to lightly toast them.

Remove the rolls from the oven and add shredded parmesan cheese to the bottom of each roll.

Add a meatball and some marinara sauce on top of the parmesan in each roll.

Top each meatball with a handful of freshly shredded mozzarella cheese.

Return the rolls to the oven and set a timer for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.

After 5 minutes, check the cheese and if not melted enough, set a timer for an additional 2 minutes.

Once melted, switch the oven to broil and broil until the tops are nice and melted and slightly toasty, watching closely to prevent burning.

Remove from the oven and top with more shredded parmesan cheese and dried parsley flakes for garnish.

Cut one serving in half crosswise to show the inside.
