Welcome to Mr. Paul's pantry; today we're making Cornish pasties.
Introduce the ingredients: chuck steak (500 grams), potatoes, half a large onion, a small swede, breadcrumbs (50 grams), salt (2.5 teaspoons), white pepper (2 teaspoons), and oil (50 milliliters).
Cut the onion in half, peel it, and dice it without removing the root.
Dice the potatoes by slicing them into flat pieces and then cutting them into small cubes.
Dice the swede in the same manner as the potatoes.
Minced the chuck steak yourself or ask the butcher to do it; avoid pre-packaged minced beef.
In a mixing bowl, combine the minced meat, breadcrumbs, salt, and white pepper; mix gently without squashing.
Add the diced onion to the meat mixture and mix again.
Add 50 milliliters of oil to the mixture, explaining that traditionally butter is used but oil is preferred for better results.
Add the diced swede and potatoes to the mixture and mix thoroughly until evenly distributed.
