  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1In a food processor, combine the black olives, capers, and minced garlic.
  2. 2Pulse the mixture until coarsely chopped.
  3. 3With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.
  4. 4Add the lemon juice, dried oregano, black pepper, and salt to the mixture.
  5. 5Pulse a few more times to incorporate the seasonings.
  6. 6Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice as desired.
  7. 7Transfer the tapenade to a serving bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
  8. 8Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
