1 Tsp salt or to your taste

Rinse and soak the red lentils in hot water. Rinse thoroughly until the water is clear.

Add water or stock in a pot then bring to a boil over medium high heat. Partially cover the pot halfway with a wooden spoon in the middle to stop the white foam from overflowing and discard.

In another pot, add olive oil or vegetable oil and fry the onion until golden brown.

Sauté cherry tomatoes, tomato paste, and garlic.

Add all of the spices: Maggi cube or chicken bouillon, paprika, cumin, curry powder, and salt.

Turn off the heat and blitz with a hand blender.
