Chop 3 to 4 inches of raw turmeric root.

In a heated vessel, pour some water and add chopped turmeric root; boil for 3 to 4 minutes.

In a heated vessel, add half teaspoon of urad dal, half teaspoon of mustard seeds, and half teaspoon of white sesame seeds.

Add 2 chopped dried red chilies and roast well; allow to cool.

In a mix jar, add the boiled turmeric root, roasted ingredients, and half lemon size of tamarind; grind it.

Pour half glass of water into the mix jar and grind again.

In a heated pan, pour the ground turmeric mixture and 3/4 glass of water.

Add 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of jaggery and salt to taste; cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
