Bisquick Biscuit Challenge - Buy vs. DIY!
Recipe Information
Bisquick Biscuits
Start by measuring 2.25 cups of original Bisquick baking mix.
Measure 2/3 cup of half and half to mix with the Bisquick.
Combine the Bisquick and half and half to create the dough.
Mix the ingredients until a soft dough forms, using hands if necessary to ensure thorough mixing.
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet or lined with parchment paper.
Shape the dough into rudimentary biscuit shapes, aiming for about eight biscuits.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
For the DIY Bisquick mix, measure 6 cups of all-purpose flour into a bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon of iodized salt to the flour.
Add 3 tablespoons of baking powder to the mixture.
Incorporate 1 cup of Crisco shortening into the dry ingredients by hand, mixing until combined.
