Add the yeast mixture, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and 1/4 cup milk to the flour mixture; stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl; cover with a damp cloth and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 4 equal portions.
Shape each portion into a long roll and place on a baking sheet dusted with 1 tablespoon cornmeal.
Cover the rolls with a cloth and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Brush the tops with water and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sesame seeds and 1 teaspoon Italian herbs.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
