Next, add 8 ounces of shredded sharp cheddar cheese and stir everything together.
Take 30 ounces of frozen shredded hash browns and add them to the mixture; if they are stuck together, use a kitchen mallet to break them up before adding.
Stir all the ingredients together until well combined.
Prepare a baking pan by spraying it with non-stick spray.
Pour the potato mixture into the prepared pan.
Add another 8 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese on top of the mixture.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the pan in the oven and bake for 1 hour.
