Uzbek Breakfast Bread

Originating from Uzbekistan, this traditional bread, known as Non, is a staple at breakfast and symbolizes hospitality. Often baked in a tandoor, it's enjoyed with various toppings or alongside dishes like soups and stews. Today, Non is cherished not only in Uzbekistan but has also found its way into the hearts of bread lovers around the world, with variations appearing in many cultures.

Flaxseeds are nutritious and lower-cost.
In a pan, heat 1/2 liter of milk and add 8 tablespoons of butter until melted.
Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cumin to the milk mixture.
In a bowl, combine 6 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of yeast, and a pinch of salt.
Mix the dry ingredients and then add the melted milk mixture.
Knead the dough until smooth and soft.
Cover the dough with oil and let it rise at room temperature for 40-50 minutes until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into portions.
Shape each portion into a round loaf.
Brush the tops with a mixture of 1 beaten egg and 2 tablespoons of milk.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and black caraway seeds on top.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes at 180°C (356°F) until golden brown.
