Homemade Applesauce Recipe | EASY Unsweetened Applesauce
Recipe Information
Homemade Applesauce
Add 1 and 1/2 cups of water to a pot.
Peel the apples, leaving some skin on if desired.
Cut the apples into slices or cubes, adjusting the size as necessary for cooking time.
Place the apples in the pot with water and cover with a lid.
Set a timer for 15 minutes to avoid overcooking the apples.
Simmer the apples on low to medium heat for about 15 minutes until they start to fall apart.
Drain the excess liquid from the apples, keeping it for other uses if desired.
Let the apples cool slightly before transferring them to a blender.
Pulse the apples in the blender until smooth and velvety.
Pour the pureed applesauce into a clean glass jar for storage.
