Spelt flour offers a nutty flavor and similar nutrition.

Canola oil is less expensive and has a neutral flavor.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
In a bowl, take yeast and add 2 tablespoons warm water, mix well and set aside.
In another bowl, combine flour and salt, then add the dissolved yeast and 1 and 1/2 cups water, knead into a soft dough.
Add olive oil to the dough and knead again.
Cover the dough and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
Dust a worktop with flour and roll out a portion of dough into a 1-inch thick sheet.
Cut out circles using a ring cutter dipped in flour to form pita breads.
Arrange the pita breads on a baking tray, cover with a moist cloth, and set aside for proving for 10-15 minutes.
Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 4 minutes.
Remove from heat, cool, and use as required.
