Chop the romaine lettuce into bite-size pieces and rinse in a salad spinner.
Transfer the lettuce into a serving salad bowl.
Slice the English cucumber into half moon shapes and add to the bowl.
Dice half of an orange sweet bell pepper and half of a yellow sweet bell pepper into small cubes and add to the bowl.
Cut half a red onion into thin slices and add to the bowl.
Cut 1 cup of cherry tomatoes in halves or dice 1 large tomato and arrange over the salad bowl.
Slice half a cup of kalamata olives into small pieces and add to the bowl.
If using, slice one large avocado into bite-size pieces and add to the bowl.
Dice half a cup of creamy feta cheese and top the salad with it.
To prepare the Greek dressing, combine 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 1 pressed garlic clove, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of oregano, and 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme in a mason jar and shake to mix.
Pour the dressing over the salad and gently toss until all ingredients are coated.
