Smoked salmon pâté is a popular spread in various cuisines, often served as an appetizer or snack, particularly in European and North American contexts.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz smoked salmon, chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained and chopped

Instructions

  1. 1In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  2. 2Add the chopped smoked salmon to the cream cheese mixture and mix well.
  3. 3Stir in the lemon juice, fresh dill, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until fully incorporated.
  4. 4Fold in the chopped capers gently to avoid breaking them up too much.
  5. 5Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice as desired.
  6. 6Transfer the pâté to a serving dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. 7Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  8. 8Serve chilled with crackers, bread, or vegetable sticks.
