Vegan recipes are a staple, showcasing the use of legumes, grains, and fresh vegetables. Traditionally, meals are communal, served on large platters for sharing. Today, these recipes are gaining popularity globally, as more people embrace plant-based diets for health and environmental reasons.

Add 2 to 3 cups of boiled water in a pot.
Add onion, oil, vegetable stock powder, and coriander powder.
Add fresh okra and allow to boil uncovered, stirring occasionally.
When okra is halfway cooked, add fresh dill.
Mix in dill and continue cooking okra.
Add garlic paste and cumin powder 8 to 10 minutes before blending.
Blend the okra mixture and adjust water level if needed.
Check seasoning and add salt to taste, then bring to a boil and turn off heat.
Heat oil and fry onions until slightly browned.
Add tomatoes and fry until softened, then add tomato paste and stir.
Add water, vegetable stock powder, coriander powder, and black pepper, and cook for 15 minutes or until water reduces.
Add Frozen okra, cumin powder, and garlic paste, and cook for 15 minutes or until okra is cooked to liking.
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Heat oil and fry onions, then add tomato paste before onions turn brown.
Add water, black pepper, coriander powder, vegetable stock powder, and garlic paste, and stir to combine.
Add cumin powder and Frozen Mia, mix well and cook covered on low heat for 10 minutes.
Remove lid and allow to cook for a while to thicken stew, then taste and add salt to taste.
Cook for a few more minutes to blend in salt, then serve with kissra, inera, or rice.
