Often associated with the iconic HP Sauce, it has become a beloved addition to breakfast items like bacon sandwiches and is a key player in fish and chips meals. Today, variations exist globally, with many countries creating their own versions to complement local dishes.

Arrowroot is a gluten-free thickener.
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a stainless pan until hot.
Add chopped onions and garlic to the pan and sauté until the onions are translucent, about a couple of minutes.
Add vinegars, molasses, sugar, and ketchup to the pan, stirring to combine.
Mix cornstarch and Rye flour in a bowl to make a paste, then add to the sauce mixture, stirring to avoid lumps.
Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
Add 1 teaspoon of Tamarind pulp and stir it in, continuing to simmer for another 5 minutes.
Blend the sauce to combine the garlic and onion, then cool it down before bottling.
