Baby Squid Stir Fry

500 g baby squid
1 bulb garlic
½ thumbsize ginger
1 tbsp soy sauce
green onion
olive oil
water
bay leaf

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the sliced bell pepper and julienned carrot to the pan, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.

Add the cleaned baby squid to the pan, and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until they turn opaque.

Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, and mix well to coat the squid and vegetables.

Add the sesame oil, black pepper, and red chili flakes (if using), and stir-fry for an additional minute.

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions.

Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
