Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Spray the baking dish or baking pan with cooking spray.
Rinse and dry the tomatoes, then pat them dry with a towel.
Place 4 cups of cherry or grape tomatoes in a mixing bowl.
Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil to the tomatoes and stir to coat them evenly.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of garlic powder over the tomatoes.
Add 3/4 teaspoon of dried basil, 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1/4 teaspoon of dried rosemary, 1/8 teaspoon of dried thyme, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of fresh ground pepper to the bowl.
Stir the mixture well to combine all the herbs and spices with the tomatoes.
Spread the tomato mixture out on a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 to 15 minutes until the skins start to crack and the tomatoes are soft.
Check the tomatoes after 10 minutes; if not done, continue baking and check again after 1 minute.
Remove from the oven when finished and serve.
