Short Ribs with Buttered White Rice

1 kg short ribs
2 tsp cajun
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp paprika
2 tbsp teriyaki
2 minced cloves of garlic
1 tbsp sriracha
1 tsp beef or chicken stock powder
1 tsp salt
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1/2 of medium yellow pepper (finely chopped)
1 1/2 tbsp tomato paste
1450g hot water
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp butter
6 peeled baby potatoes (cut in halves)

In a pot put oil and butter, heat on medium until hot, add the short ribs, brown them.

Remove the ribs from the pot and add onion, bell peppers, minced garlic, mix well.

Thereafter add ginger, paprika, thyme, black pepper, cajun, salt, sriracha, teriyaki, tomato paste, stir and cook for 2 minutes.

Add stock, water and add the ribs, cover and cook for 2 hours on low heat.

After 2 hours add baby potatoes, cover and cook for 20 minutes.

Once it’s ready, turn off the heat, remove from the stove, sprinkle a bit of parsley, serve with rice, enjoy.
