Homemade Asiago Cheese Bagels

Measure 600 g of flour using a kitchen scale.

Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the flour.

Add 3 tablespoons of sugar to the flour and salt mixture.

Add 1 tablespoon of yeast to the mixture.

Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the mixture.

Measure 1 and 1/4 cups of warm water (between 98 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit).

Combine the vegetable oil with the warm water before adding to the mixer.

Gradually add the warm water mixture to the dry ingredients in the stand mixer while mixing.

Allow the mixer to combine the ingredients until a dough ball forms, scraping down the sides as necessary.

If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour to the counter while kneading.

Knead the dough on a clean counter for at least 5 minutes until it is tacky but not sticky.

Check the dough texture; it should not stick to your hands when kneaded properly.
