Greek Stewed Green Beans

3 to 4 tablespoons olive oil
1 white onion
1 to 2 pounds yellow or white potatoes
fresh or frozen green beans
2 chopped tomatoes
8 ounce can of tomato sauce
0.5 tablespoon salt
pinch of sugar
1 cup water
crumbled feta cheese
crusty bread

Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of olive oil to a large pot.

Saute a white onion until translucent.

Add 1 to 2 pounds of yellow or white potatoes.

Add fresh or frozen green beans.

Stir in 2 chopped tomatoes and an 8 ounce can of tomato sauce.

Season with 0.5 tablespoon of salt and a pinch of sugar.

Add 1 cup of water and bring to a simmer.

Cover and cook on low for 45 minutes to an hour until green beans are tender.

Serve with crumbled feta cheese and crusty bread.
