In a large mixing bowl, add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup of white granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 4 1/2 teaspoons of Fleischmann's rapid rise yeast; whisk together.
Heat 1 1/2 cups of water in the microwave until it reaches 120-130°F; add 6 tablespoons of butter and mix until combined.
Add 1 large egg to the water and butter mixture; whisk together.
Gradually add 3 cups of all-purpose flour, about 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition until a dough forms.
Lightly flour a work surface and knead the dough for a couple of minutes until elastic and smooth.
Place the dough in a clean mixing bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 10 minutes.
Render 5 slices of smoked bacon in a skillet until crispy; remove and drain on paper towels, then chop into small bits.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped bacon, 2 diced green onions, 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese, 1 cup of Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, 3 pressed garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, a pinch of salt, and ground black pepper; mix well.
Punch down the risen dough and turn it out onto a lightly floured work surface; knead for about 30 seconds.
Roll the dough into a 12 by 18 inch rectangle and spread the filling evenly, leaving a half inch border along the edges.
Starting at the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log.
Use unflavored floss to cut the log into 12 rolls.
Place the rolls in a large casserole dish and let them proof at room temperature for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Bake the rolls for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown on top.
While the rolls are baking, prepare the topping by mixing 1/2 cup of melted butter with 3 pressed garlic cloves and 2-3 tablespoons of parsley; let it infuse.
Brush the baked rolls with the garlic and parsley butter before serving.
