Apple cider vinegar offers a milder flavor.
Add 1/4 cup black raisins to a bowl.
Mince 2 cloves of garlic and add to the bowl.
Mince 1/8 cup of yellow onion and add to the bowl.
Pour in 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar.
Squeeze half an orange or add 1/8 cup orange juice to the mixture.
Add 1/2 cup water to the bowl.
Pour in 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce.
Add 1/4 cup Dijon mustard to the mixture.
Stir in 1/4 cup ketchup for sweetness.
Season with 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon celery seed.
Add 1/2 tablespoon hot sauce to the mixture.
Stir all ingredients together and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
Once simmering, reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes.
Strain the sauce to achieve a silky smooth texture.
Let the sauce sit in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours, or up to 2 to 3 days for best flavor.
