Transfer the green bean mixture to a greased baking dish.

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and add the remaining French fried onions, cooking until golden, about 2-3 minutes.
Sprinkle the sautéed onions over the casserole.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
