Seeds are nut-free and still provide crunch.
Start with 1 cup of lukewarm water, at baby bath temperature.
Add 1 tablespoon of yeast to the water.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 3 tablespoons of sugar (or honey if preferred).
Add 1/3 cup of olive oil to the mixture.
Add 3 cups of flour to the bag.
Seal the bag and mix the ingredients by kneading the bag until combined.
Place the bag in a bowl of lukewarm water and let it sit for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, check the dough; it should be sticky.
Add 1/4 cup of flour to the bag and knead it in until incorporated.
Dump the dough out of the bag onto a floured surface.
Knead the dough slightly and divide it into three pieces for braiding.
Roll each piece into a long strand to braid.
Braid the three strands together and tuck the ends in.
Transfer the braided dough to a baking pan.
Sprinkle garlic salt and everything bagel seasoning on top of the braided dough.
Let the dough rise for about 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
Bake the bread for 45 minutes until golden brown.
For a sweet version, sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top before baking.
Prepare a glaze with 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of half and half, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Drizzle the glaze over the baked bread.
