Add milk and water to a bowl and heat until lukewarm, about 110°F.
Add melted butter, sugar, and yeast to the liquid and stir to combine.
Set the mixture aside for 10 minutes to become active.
In a large bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, salt, and white chocolate chips.
Pour the yeast liquid into the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula for about 5 minutes until thoroughly combined, resulting in a loose wet dough ball.
Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise for 2 hours until it doubles in size.
Degas the bread by punching it to remove air.
Remove the bread dough from the bowl and place it onto a floured work surface.
Sprinkle extra flour on top of the bread dough and knead using the Slap and Fold method, adding more flour if the dough is too wet.
After kneading, form the dough into a ball and place it into a buttered loaf-shaped pan.
Let the chocolate loaf rise in the pan for 90 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Bake the loaf for about 35 to 40 minutes until done.
Remove the chocolate bread loaf from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool for at least 1 hour.
Slice and enjoy, optionally with cinnamon infused butter or as French toast.
