Easy Cheesy Hasselback Potatoes

Line up the potatoes using two wooden dowels to prevent cutting all the way through.
Slice the potatoes into 1/8 inch slices starting at the center, stopping before cutting through.
Repeat the slicing process with the remaining potatoes.
Place the sliced potatoes directly into the scan pan square roaster without foil or parchment paper.
Brush melted unsalted butter generously over the tops of the potatoes, allowing it to seep into the cuts.
Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the potatoes before baking.
Bake in a preheated oven at 450°F for about 1 hour or until baked through.
Insert thinly sliced sharp cheddar cheese between each of the potato slices.
Return the potatoes to the oven for about 3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Sprinkle finely grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the potatoes.
Garnish with chopped fresh chives before serving.
