Fill a large bowl with hot water, let it sit for a couple of minutes, then pour it out and dry it.
Add strong white bread flour to the warm bowl.
Add salt to the flour and whisk it in.
Add 7 grams (2 teaspoons) of dried yeast to the flour mixture.
Add warm water (around 40 degrees Celsius or 104 Fahrenheit) to the bowl.
Mix the ingredients together using a wooden spoon handle until they come together.
Finish mixing by hand until the dough is combined.
Cover the bowl with a shower cap and set a timer for at least one hour for the first rise.
After one hour, turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knock it back to remove gas.
Return the dough to the bowl for another 30 minutes for the second rise.
After 30 minutes, turn the dough out onto a floured surface again and knock it back once more.
Shape the dough into an oval and place it into a greased 2-pound loaf tin.
Sprinkle a little flour over the dough to prevent sticking and cover with a clean, dry lightweight tea towel.
Set a timer for 45 minutes for the final rise.
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 Fahrenheit) with 10 minutes left on the final rise.
Once risen, sprinkle a little flour over the loaf for a professional look before baking.
Place the loaf in the preheated oven and set the timer for 30 minutes, turning it around halfway through if necessary.
After 30 minutes, check the loaf; if a darker crust is desired, leave it in for an extra 10 minutes.
Remove the loaf from the oven and the tin immediately if greased properly.
Let the loaf cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes before slicing.
