Originating from the Southern United States, coleslaw is a staple side dish often served at barbecues and family gatherings. This refreshing salad combines crunchy vegetables with a creamy dressing, making it a perfect complement to rich meats. Today, variations abound, with some opting for vinegar-based dressings or adding fruits like apples or raisins, but the classic version remains a beloved favorite.
