Ensure the rubber gasket is properly fitted in the lid, fully under each overhang.

Add a small strip of kombu seaweed to the pot.

Seal the pressure cooker by lining up the arrows on the handles and twisting to lock.

Turn the heat to high until the pressure reaches high, indicated by the second red line on the model.

Reduce the heat as low as possible to stabilize and maintain high pressure.

Cook the pinto beans for 25 to 30 minutes.

After cooking, remove the cooker from the heat and allow the pressure to come down naturally for about 7 to 8 minutes.
