Cut 12 ounces of purple cabbage and 12 ounces of green cabbage into thin slices and place in a large bowl.

Julienne 4 ounces of carrots and add to the bowl with the cabbage.

In a separate bowl, mix 6 ounces of mayonnaise and 3 ounces of sour cream until incorporated.

Add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar, 2 teaspoons of white sugar, 0.5 teaspoon of celery seed, a few grinds of black pepper, and salt to taste to the mayonnaise mixture and stir well.

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots in the large bowl and mix until well combined.

Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
