- ●1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
- 1Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into chunks.
- 2Place the sweet potato chunks in a large pot and cover with water.
- 3Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat and cook the sweet potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- 4Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
- 5Add the milk, butter, salt, black pepper, and cinnamon (if using) to the sweet potatoes.
- 6Mash the sweet potatoes with a potato masher or fork until smooth and creamy.
- 7Taste and adjust seasoning, adding maple syrup if desired for sweetness.
- 8Serve warm as a side dish.

- 2Wash the broccoli florets and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 3In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes if using.
- 4Spread the broccoli evenly on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- 5Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the broccoli is tender.
- 6Stir the broccoli halfway through the cooking time for even roasting.
- 7Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

- 3Peel the skin off the squash and cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- 4In a large bowl, toss the squash cubes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup if using.
- 5Spread the seasoned squash evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 6Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the squash is tender and lightly caramelized, stirring halfway through.
- 7Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
