Add 1 cup of water (between 100 and 115 degrees Fahrenheit) to a bowl.
Add 1 packet of active dry yeast and 2 tablespoons of sugar to the water and stir.
Let the mixture bloom for 10 minutes.
Combine 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 1.5 teaspoons of oregano, 1.5 teaspoons of garlic powder, 1.5 teaspoons of onion powder, 1.5 teaspoons of basil, 3 cups of bread flour, and 1.5 teaspoons of salt in a bowl.
Stir the mixture together with a spoon to form a rough dough.
Knead the dough in the bowl for 5 minutes, then let it rest for 5 minutes.
Knead the dough again for 5 more minutes.
Form the dough into a ball and pinch the ends closed.
Grease the bowl and place the dough back in it.
Let the dough rise for 1 hour in the oven (oven turned off).
Punch down the dough and knead it in the bowl for about 1 minute.
Form the dough into a ball, pinch it closed, and shape it into an 8-inch loaf.
Spray an 8.5 by 4.5 loaf pan with cooking spray and place the dough in the pan.
Let the dough rise for 30 to 45 minutes until it rises above the rim of the pan.
Bake the loaf at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
