Over time, variations have emerged, incorporating different nuts or seasonings, but the essence of the dish remains beloved across generations.

Turn on the stove and start frying the bacon on medium low heat.
Cut 4 slices of thick cut bacon into large pieces and add to the brazer, moving them around until slightly crispy.
Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and cut them in half.
Add half of a small onion, cut into medium-sized pieces, to the bacon and move them around until slightly translucent.
Prepare the broth by mixing 1 cup of hot water with 1 teaspoon of Better Than Bullion chicken flavor and set aside.
Add 6 oz of sliced baby bella mushrooms to the bacon and onions, cooking until the mushrooms release their water and become tender.
Make a well in the middle of the mixture and add 2 large garlic cloves, cooking for 1 minute.
Add red bell peppers to the mixture and toss everything together until the green beans are vibrant in color.
Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, add salt and black pepper to taste, and toss everything together.
Cover with a lid, lower the heat to low, and cook for 30 minutes until the broth has evaporated and the green beans are tender.
After 30 minutes, turn off the heat and transfer the dish to a serving dish.
