Start by melting 1 stick of butter in a saucepan over low heat.

Pour in 1/2 cup of reduced sodium soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, stirring until everything is melted and combined.
Drain and rinse 4 cans of green beans, then dump them into a 9 by 13 baking dish.
Pour the sauce over the green beans and gently toss to coat them evenly.
Slice 6 slices of bacon into bite-sized pieces and lay them over the green beans.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake for about 30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy, checking after 30 minutes and adding more time if needed.
For the stove top version, slice bacon into bite-sized pieces and sauté until almost crispy.
Add a little more than 1 tablespoon of butter to the pan with the bacon.
Instead of 1 cup of brown sugar, add about 3-4 tablespoons to the pan.
Sprinkle in garlic powder to taste, without measuring.
Add about 1/4 cup of soy sauce to the pan and stir everything together.
Add 2 cans of green beans to the pan and toss to combine with the bacon and sauce.
Add about half a can of water to the pan and cover with a lid.
Cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes until heated through.
