Millet Grits

1 cup uncooked millet
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons homemade butter

Add 3 cups of water to a pot.

Add 1 cup of uncooked millet and 1 teaspoon of salt to the pot and stir.

Bring the mixture to a boil.

Once boiling, stir again and cover with a lid, then reduce heat to low.

Cook for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, add 2 tablespoons of homemade butter on top.

Cover again and cook for another 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, fluff the grits with a fork and serve warm.
