Garlic Sautéed Green Beans

1 tablespoon butter
1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water or stock

Prep the garlic butter by combining 1 heaping tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of butter, 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest, and 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper in a bowl and set aside.

Add 12 ounces of green beans and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to a hot skillet with some oil.

Toss the green beans around and cook for about 5 minutes.

Pour in 1/2 cup of liquid (water or stock) and cover the skillet to let the beans steam for 2 minutes.

Uncover the beans and cook until any remaining liquid in the pan has evaporated.

Turn down the heat and add the garlic butter mixture from earlier to the skillet.

After a minute or so, the beans are done.
