Take about 4 big cloves of garlic and roughly chop them.
Add salt to the garlic and use a mortar to squash it into a paste.
Grate about an inch piece of ginger and add it to the bowl.
Add a glug of olive oil to the bowl.
Add half a teaspoon to a teaspoon of turmeric to the bowl.
Add about a teaspoon of cinnamon to the bowl.
Add about a teaspoon of chili powder to the bowl.
Add about a teaspoon of smoked paprika to the bowl.
Add cumin to the bowl, about the same amount as the other spices.
Squeeze lime juice into the bowl after rolling the lime to get more juice out.
Grind some black pepper into the bowl.
Add about 1 to 2 dessert spoons of creme fraiche to the bowl and stir until well combined.
Spread the marinade in a shallow tray.
Add the lamb chops to the marinade and baste them well.
Refrigerate the marinated lamb chops for at least a couple of hours or overnight.
When ready to cook, heat a frying pan or griddle pan until hot.
Cook the lamb chops for about 3 minutes on each side.
